Helium 10 on a shared account: Black Box, Cerebro, Magnet and Listing Analyzer

Helium 10 on a shared account works differently from Helium 10 on an account of your own, and the difference shows up in four features. This post explains which ones, why, and what you can do about it.

The four features that use credits

Helium 10 features such as Black Box, Cerebro, Magnet and Listing Analyzer use credits, and Helium 10 sets low limits on them: it gives them very low monthly limits.

  • Black Box
  • Listing Analyzer
  • Cerebro
  • Magnet

On a group-buy or shared account these features may be unavailable, or have no credits left.

Why “limit reached” can appear when you have not used them

Dedicated credits for these features are not guaranteed on a group-buy shared account. Many members share the account, so the credits can run out fast, and a feature can show “limit reached” even if you have not used it recently.

The features work while credits remain. When the limit is reached, wait until Helium 10 renews the credits.

Why there is no reset time to promise

There is no fixed or estimated renewal time. A monthly reset cannot be guaranteed on a shared account either, because the credits can be used up again right after they renew. That is why we do not quote a date when the credits will be back.

This applies to group-buy platforms in general, not only to ours: the shared group-buy plan cannot offer dedicated credits.

The rest of Helium 10 still works

The other Helium 10 features may still work while Black Box, Cerebro, Magnet or Listing Analyzer is at its limit. If one of the four shows “limit reached”, the account itself is not down.

When you need the credits every time

If you need reliable, dedicated credits for these features, use a personal Helium 10 account. A personal account may not be available from us, so ask support before you plan around one.

Sharing the account fairly

Because many members share one account, how each of them uses it matters. The fair use policy exists so that no single member or group can take over resources and slow the tools down for others. Every member gets an equal chance to use the service, and some tools or features have no strict, hard limit, which does not mean unlimited use. Light, reasonable use, the way one person normally uses a tool, is very unlikely to raise a fair use concern. Continuous, automated or very high-volume work is not light use.

Each tool’s stated limits are on the limits page, and the tool page is Helium10.

The help center has both articles: Helium 10: Black Box, Cerebro and Magnet limits and Helium 10 features that shared accounts cannot guarantee.
