How we check our pages
The checks we make on vendor facts, our own prices and limits, and comparison pages before a guide is published.
Last updated 22 October 2026
This page lists the checks we make on the facts in our guides, comparisons and pricing explainers. It covers what we compare against which source, which numbers we never type by hand, and what you can do if you spot something that looks out of date. It sits next to our editorial policy, which explains who approves a page and how corrections work.
What we check on every guide
- Each vendor plan name, price and limit matches the vendor’s own public page on the day we read it.
- Each vendor figure carries a date such as “as of October 2026”, so you can see how fresh it is.
- Every figure that belongs to DigitaVision comes from the live catalog, not from the text of the article.
- The guide states that DigitaVision is not affiliated with the vendors.
- The links on the page open and lead where the text says they do.
How we check vendor facts
We open the vendor’s own public pricing or help page, read the plan table and note the date. We only use pages that anyone can open without signing in. If a vendor’s page does not show a price, or does not load for us, the article says so and explains where you can see the figure yourself. We do not fill the gap with a number from another site.
When a vendor lists a price per month and per year, we say which one we mean.
How we check our own prices and limits
A price for a DigitaVision tool is never typed into an article. It is printed from the product catalog at the moment you open the page, so an article and the tool page show the same figure. The catalog updates when a product changes and is reconciled once a day. The same applies to the number of tools we list: where an article mentions it, it prints live, and today the catalog shows 185 tools.
The limits page shows, for every tool, the plan description from the member area, and our fair-use rules apply on top. When an article talks about limits, it links there instead of repeating a number that may change.
How we check how access works
We describe shared seats and personal accounts the way the How it works page does. A shared seat is one vendor account used by several members through the DigitaVision browser extension, and you sign in once without receiving the vendor’s password. A personal account is a login of your own, set up by our team and shown on the product credentials page. Refunds and replacements are described only in the words of the refund and warranty policy, because that policy is the source of truth.
How we check comparison pages
Pages that compare DigitaVision with another provider use what that provider shows on its own public pages. Every price or tool count for a competitor carries a date, and the page links to the provider’s own site as its source. These pages avoid superlatives and accusations, and they state facts we can point to: what each provider lists, how access works and what happens when something goes wrong.
How we check that a guide covers what readers ask
For many articles we score the draft with a content-analysis tool, which compares with the pages that currently rank for the same search and shows which topics and questions they cover. This tells us whether a guide is complete. It does not tell us whether a statement is true; for that, we go back to the vendor’s page.
After a page is published
Articles show an “Updated” date under the title. Our own prices refresh from the catalog, and vendor figures keep the date they were read on. If you find something that no longer matches the vendor’s page, tell us.
FAQ
Where does a vendor price in your articles come from?
From the vendor’s own public page, read on the date shown in the article. If the vendor page shows no price, we say so.
Why does the price in an article match the tool page?
Both print from the same live catalog, so neither is typed by hand.
What are your guides based on?
Vendor pages, our own catalog and our published policies. This page lists the checks we make on them.
How do I tell you about a mistake?
Email, live chat or a ticket in the member area, from the contact page. Support is open every day from 8 AM to 3 AM Bangladesh time, and we reply by email within 24 hours.
