Grok Pricing 2026: Grok AI Pricing, SuperGrok Price by Tier and Grok API Pricing

DigitaVision TeamTools and accounts team

12 min read

Grok pricing starts at $0 for the free plan and reaches $200 a month for the top plan, as of October 2026, on xAI’s pricing page. New customers now choose from The X Subscription: Plus at $8, Premium at $30 (the plan that carries the benefits of SuperGrok), Super at $100 and Ultra at $200. Developers pay a separate Grok price per token through the API, where Grok 4.7 costs $2.00 per million input tokens and $6.00 per million output tokens.

This pricing guide covers consumer Grok and the API, what happened to the older SuperGrok offers, how the weekly usage pool works, where the vendor’s own pages disagree, and the two Grok options DigitaVision offers. Every figure comes from xAI’s own pages and is dated.

Key takeaways

  • Five tiers: Free ($0), Plus ($8 a month), Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200). Yearly billing is listed at $80, $300, $1,000 and $2,000 for the four paid levels.
  • SuperGrok price today: the announcement says Premium has “the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+”, so a new buyer’s SuperGrok price is the Premium price. People who already pay for SuperGrok can keep their plan, price and features, or switch.
  • Usage, not daily limits: paid levels share one weekly pool across Grok and Cursor. Premium, the first tier with Grok Bot, has 4x the pool of Plus.
  • API: if you use the API, API usage is billed per token, apart from any plan. The vendor recommends its newest model for chat and code.
  • Lower-cost routes: DigitaVision lists a shared seat and a 10-day SuperGrok personal account, explained below.

Grok pricing at a glance: plans and tiers

These are the list prices for the new plans from xAI’s pricing documentation, checked against the plans page.

Plan Monthly Yearly (per month) Included usage What the page lists
Free $0 $0 Limited Limited chat and agent requests, plus standard X
Plus $8 $80 ($7) Base, shared pool Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, API access, Cursor, an X checkmark
Premium $30 $300 ($25) 4x Plus Everything in Plus, plus Grok Bot, the latest Grok models, faster chat, AI images and video
Super $100 $1,000 ($84) 15x Plus Everything in Premium, plus priority model access at peak times
Ultra $200 $2,000 ($167) 50x Plus Everything in Super, with the largest pool

The prices do not include tax or fees such as VAT, and the vendor says they are subject to change, so a later pricing change on its site overrides this table. Third-party models in Cursor are billed separately.

Grok price by plan: how much does Grok cost a month?

Grok costs between $0 and $200 a month, and the monthly bill depends on the plan you pick. Here is how Grok AI pricing breaks down for a typical user of this AI tool:

  • Free, $0: basic AI access in the web and mobile apps, with limited requests.
  • Plus, $8 a month: the entry tier and the cheapest plan that includes Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build.
  • Premium, $30 a month: the tier recommended for new AI users. The announcement says it was “previously $90/month combined” as separate plans.
  • Super, $100 a month: recommended for daily users of AI agents.
  • Ultra, $200 a month: recommended for power users.

Paying yearly lowers the monthly equivalent. Our arithmetic from the listed prices: twelve monthly payments cost $360 on Premium against $300 a year, a saving of $60, and $1,200 on Super against $1,000, a saving of $200.

SuperGrok plans and the SuperGrok price after October 12

On October 12, 2026, xAI introduced The X Subscription, bundling Grok with Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium in one plan. It is open to new customers first and is rolling out globally. The announcement says nothing changes for people who already hold SuperGrok, Cursor or X Premium: they can keep their current plan, price and features or move to the new plans.

When someone switches, the documentation says the old plan is cancelled and the unused time is refunded pro rata to the original payment method, while the new plan is charged at full price.

The older name SuperGrok Heavy still appears in the FAQ, which mentions a “SuperGrok Heavy yearly subscription” as a common reason for a large invoice. The pages we read list no price for SuperGrok Heavy and do not say which new plan replaces it, so check your billing settings before you assume a mapping. Existing plans continue for current subscribers, and the new plans are what a first-time buyer sees.

Grok business and enterprise plans: team seats and enterprise pricing

Team plans use the same per-seat prices as individual plans: Premium at $30 per seat, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200. Plus is not available for teams. Each seat is its own Grok access with its own weekly pool, and the team shares a prepaid balance for extra usage.

Larger organizations that need invoicing, pooled usage or advanced security are pointed to Enterprise, where the page lists custom rate limits, volume pricing, SSO and SCIM, and data residency. The page lists no price for Enterprise and invites buyers to email its sales team for custom pricing.

API pricing in 2026: Grok cost per million tokens

The API is billed apart from the consumer subscription. These are the text model rates from the xAI API documentation, last updated October 10, 2026, in US dollars. Use these API prices and the API rate for your model to estimate a bill. Each version of Grok has a short-context rate, and the long-context rate applies once the prompt reaches 200k tokens.

Model Context Input Cached input Output Long-context input / output
grok-4.7 500k $2.00 $0.50 $6.00 $4.00 / $12.00
grok-build-0.1 256k $1.00 $0.20 $2.00 $2.00 / $4.00
grok-4.6 500k $2.00 $0.50 $6.00 $4.00 / $12.00
grok-4.5 500k $2.00 $0.30 $6.00 $4.00 / $12.00
grok-4.3 1M $1.25 $0.20 $2.50 $2.50 / $5.00
grok-4.20 (multi-agent, reasoning, non-reasoning) 1M $1.25 $0.20 $2.50 $2.50 / $5.00

Grok 4.7 pricing and the Grok 4.7 API

The models page calls Grok 4.7 the flagship AI model for code and everything else, with a 500k-token context, and gives its knowledge cut-off as May 2026. At $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, it is priced like grok-4.6 in the table, and cached input is $0.50 per million cached input tokens. xAI recommends Grok 4.7 as the API model for chat and code, while the 4.3 model and the Grok 4.20 variants are cheaper at $1.25 and $2.50, with a 1M context.

Grok API costs: Grok 4.6, Grok 4.3, Grok Build and add-ons

Grok Build 0.1 is the lowest-priced text model listed. Several charges change the final bill:

  • Batch API discount: 20% off every model in the table except the Grok Build model, with most batch requests finishing within 24 hours.
  • Priority processing: 2x the standard token rates for higher scheduling priority.
  • US regional endpoint: 1.1x the global rates. For the flagship model that is $2.20 input and $6.60 output below 200k prompt tokens.
  • Grok 4.7 Fast: the same model on faster infrastructure costs 2x the standard rates. It is available only in Cursor and Grok Build, billed through your plan there, and not on the public API.
  • Long-context pricing: the 200k-token threshold in the table doubles the input and output rates of every model listed.

What Grok offers: what each Grok plan includes

You can try Grok for free. According to xAI’s Grok page, upgrading to SuperGrok gives you higher limits, priority access and multi-agent reasoning, where several agents split a hard question and show their work. These are the main features on that page, and paid levels give you more room to use them:

  • Chat and live search: step-by-step reasoning, plus real-time web and X search with citations.
  • Grok Imagine: images and video from text or reference photos, with text-to-video clips of up to 15 seconds.

Grok is an AI assistant that also writes and debugs code and works in more than 30 languages. Grok Bot, which comes with Premium and above, is described in the FAQ as durable AI teammates on a persistent cloud computer, and it is not the same as the chat app.

How Grok usage limits work on paid levels

The FAQ says that, rolling out from June 2026, paid levels stopped using separate daily limits for Chat, Imagine, Voice and Build. Instead there is one shared weekly usage pool that you can spend on any Grok product, and it resets every week on a schedule shown in the Usage tab in Settings. On the new plans, the pool is shared across eligible first-party use in both products for each paid seat.

A chat message uses little of the pool, while a high-quality video or a long coding task uses much more. When it runs out, paid features pause until the reset, and you keep the free limits for chat and voice. You can then buy Extra Usage Credits, starting at $5 and expiring one year after purchase, turn on Auto Top Up, or move to a higher plan.

Where xAI’s own pages disagree

Because Grok’s pricing changed on October 12 and the pages were updated on different days, a few details do not line up. This is what each one says:

  • Yearly prices: the documentation lists yearly prices and their monthly equivalents. The text we read on x.ai/pricing shows monthly prices only, so confirm the yearly total at checkout.
  • What the weekly pool covers: x.ai/pricing says that within Grok the pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice and Bot. The FAQ says Chat, Imagine, Voice or Build.
  • Free tier: the announcement describes “daily access to Grok”, while x.ai/pricing says limited chat and agent requests.
  • Plan names: the FAQ, last updated October 10, still speaks of SuperGrok and SuperGrok Heavy, while the announcement of October 12 and x.ai/pricing use Free, Plus, Premium, Super and Ultra.
  • Company name: the page titles say SpaceXSI, while the addresses are x.ai and docs.x.ai. This guide uses xAI.

When two pages differ, the checkout total on the vendor’s own site is the figure that counts.

Is there a free Grok AI plan, a trial or a discount?

Beyond the Free plan, the options on xAI’s pages are the lower yearly rate, switching offers for existing subscribers and top-ups for extra usage. The pages we read list no time-limited trial of a paid level and no student discount.

SuperGrok through DigitaVision: personal or shared

Besides xAI’s own plans, DigitaVision offers two ways to use Grok. Both are listed on their tool pages with the current price. DigitaVision is not affiliated with xAI, and neither option is an official xAI subscription.

SuperGrok Personal

SuperGrok Personal 10 Days costs $8.00 as one payment for 10 days of access, with no renewal. It is a private login of your own, set up by the DigitaVision team, with SuperGrok access included. Your chats and settings stay apart from every other customer. Setup usually takes 2 to 4 hours, up to 24 hours. It is the option to choose if you want to create images and video, write code or do heavier productivity work.

  • You receive a login ID and password on the product credentials page of the member area after setup.
  • Change the password as soon as you sign in, and keep a note of it.
  • The plan has a 5-day warranty for suspension only, and the tool page says there is no replacement for incorrect mid-subscription credentials.

Shared Grok

Grok group buy costs $3.49 for 30 days. It is a shared seat on one Grok account, used through the DigitaVision Chrome extension. You sign in once in the extension, and the seat opens once your payment is confirmed. It suits everyday questions, summaries, drafts and live look-ups. The shared seat has a daily message limit, shown on its tool page, and it does not include image or video generation. Model availability on the shared account can vary.

For both options, you can pay in USD or BDT by card, PayPal, bKash and other methods listed at checkout, and support runs every day from 8 AM to 3 AM Bangladesh time. A shared seat that is down for more than 48 hours gets a replacement or a pro-rated refund, and a personal account gets a replacement first. Fair use keeps the shared seat working well for every member.

Which Grok pricing option should you choose?

Use the free tier if you only ask a few questions a day. Choose the shared seat if you want more chat and live search at a low cost and do not need images or video. Choose SuperGrok Personal if you create images and video or want your own private history for a short period. Among the vendor’s own levels, Premium is the entry point for most people and the closest match for SuperGrok’s benefits; Super and Ultra are for people who run out of Premium’s weekly pool. Developers who only need the model should price the API by tokens instead.
