Bulk packs explained: pre-selected, customisable or Mega Combo
A bulk pack puts several tools in one subscription. Our packs come in three kinds, and the kind decides what you can change: pre-selected packs with a fixed set of tools, customisable packs where you choose the tools, and the Mega Combo Pack with almost every tool. Before you buy, check which kind a pack is, so you know what it includes and whether you can choose the tools. Every pack, with its price, is on the packs page.
1. Pre-selected packs
A pre-selected pack has a fixed set of tools, put together for one need: SEO, writing, design, video editing, AI tools, students or entertainment. You cannot add, remove or swap tools in it. The Entertainment Pack and the SEO Combo Pack are two examples.
The SEO Combo Pack
The SEO Combo Pack is a fixed, pre-selected pack, billed monthly. It includes Semrush, Majestic, KeywordRevealer, Moz, KWFinder, SpyFu, Ubersuggest, KeywordTool.io, Woorank, Grammarly and SEOptimer.
Its price is fixed, so discount coupons do not usually apply. You can upgrade from the SEO Combo Pack to another pack (the Ahrefs Combo, for example) by paying the difference in price. If you upgrade, cancel the SEO Combo Pack’s auto-renewal, so you are not charged for both.
The Ahrefs Combo
The Ahrefs Combo includes Ahrefs and Semrush, with unlimited daily Semrush searches and the Standard plan’s features. Ahrefs’ daily credits and monthly export rows are on the limits page, and the Ahrefs limits can be raised for an additional fee: see Ahrefs limits explained. The price can depend on the currency and on the current offer at checkout, so check it before you pay.
In short, a pre-selected pack’s tools are fixed: you cannot choose them or swap one for another. It suits you best when the included tools already match what you need.
2. Customisable packs
A customisable pack lets you choose your tools from the list of available tools, to build a pack around your work. There are three:
- Medium Pack: choose 10 tools.
- Heavy Pack: choose 15 tools.
- Mega Pack: choose 20 tools.
When you buy a customisable pack, you pick the tools from drop-down lists. Most tools are included at no extra cost. Some have an addon fee: the extra amount is shown beside the tool name, and it is added to the pack’s base price. Your final price is the base price plus the addon fees of the tools you picked. The addon fee explained post walks through it with examples.
Customisable packs include shared tools only. Personal tools are not part of them; for a mix of personal tools, support can create a custom invoice on request.
3. The Mega Combo Pack
The Mega Combo Pack is for members who need a large number of tools rather than a chosen few. It includes almost every available tool, except the ones offered in the drop-down list on its order page. Ahrefs is included. A few addon tools can still be available in it; a tool with an additional fee is clearly marked beside its name.
The packs side by side
| Pack | Choose the tools? | Number of tools | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-selected packs | No | Fixed | A ready-made pack |
| Medium Pack | Yes | 10 | A small pack of your own |
| Heavy Pack | Yes | 15 | More tools of your choice |
| Mega Pack | Yes | 20 | A larger pack of your own |
| Mega Combo Pack | Mostly included | Almost every tool | The most access |
Which pack to choose
- A pre-selected pack if you want a ready-made pack, you do not need to choose the tools, and the fixed tools already match what you need.
- A customisable pack if you want to decide which tools are in it and you need only 10, 15 or 20 of them.
- The Mega Combo Pack if you need access to almost every tool, do not want to choose tools one by one, want Ahrefs in the pack, or need a large all-in-one pack.
Before you order
Check which kind of pack you are buying, whether it is fixed or customisable, how many tools it includes, whether a tool you picked has an addon fee, and the final price at checkout, before you pay. Not sure which pack suits you? Contact support before you order: the team can help you choose.
