Semrush pricing plans at a glance
Semrush plans come as one set that pairs search tools with AI tracking. Comparing Semrush prices comes down to three numbers: websites, daily tracked keywords and AI prompts. The table shows monthly list prices from the same date.
| Plan | Price a month | Billed annually, per month | Websites | Keywords tracked daily | AI prompts tracked daily |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not applicable | 1 demo project | Not listed | Not listed |
| SEO | $139 | $117.33 | 5 | 500 | No dedicated quota |
| Starter | $199 | $165.17 | 5 | 500 | 50 |
| Pro+ | $299 | $248.17 | 15 | 1,500 | 100 |
| Advanced | $549 | $455.67 | 40 | 5,000 | 200 |
| Enterprise | On request | On request | Unlimited projects | Custom | Custom |
Enterprise plan: custom pricing
Semrush Enterprise is the top tier, so you book a demo to get a quote. Enterprise features include unlimited projects and custom limits, large-scale AI prompt tracking, multi-million-page crawling, forecasting and ROI attribution, SSO with team governance and audit logs, a dedicated account manager and 24/7 support.
Semrush pricing overview: how the structure works
Semrush uses a modular pricing structure: a base plan sets your limits, and toolkits, users and reports come on top. Each plan combines the SEO Toolkit and the AI Visibility Toolkit in one subscription, and Semrush also sells specialist marketing tools you can add or remove at any time: Traffic & Market, Local, Content for content marketing, Social for social media management, Advertising and AI PR. Most of them have their own tiers and limits. A combination of plans and add-ons can raise the final bill.
Semrush pricing reflects limits as much as features. Each plan provides a fixed number of websites and daily tracked keywords, and higher plans raise those numbers. The standard features on a paid plan are keyword research, competitor analysis, Position Tracking and Site Audit. These are the main features of Semrush, and the features Semrush gives each tier grow with the limits. Advanced features like historical data, content optimization and API access arrive further up the ladder.
Semrush subscription plans and features: what each plan includes
SEO plan: for freelancers and small businesses
The SEO plan costs $139 a month, or $117.33 a month billed annually. It is aimed at freelancers and small businesses, and the plan covers 5 websites to monitor, 500 keywords tracked daily, basic keyword research and competitor analysis, Position Tracking and a Site Audit. It also tracks performance in AI search, monitors AI sentiment and gives AI reports for any domain. The help page says the plan has no dedicated prompt-tracking quota, no AI-ready audit and no per-domain AI brand performance, while the plan card lists monitoring custom prompts. Check the plan comparison on the pricing page before you rely on prompt tracking.
Starter, Pro+ and Advanced plans
Starter costs $199 a month and keeps the same 5 websites and 500 daily keywords. It brings keyword research and optimization tools, competitor insights, MCP access and AI tracking across Google Search, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. That means 50 prompts tracked daily, 1 domain for AI brand performance, 300 AI reports a day and an AI-ready Site Audit.
Pro+ costs $299 a month. It carries all Starter features and raises the limits to 15 websites and 1,500 keywords tracked daily. The plan adds historical data access, content tools, keyword cannibalization analysis and multi-location and device tracking, with 100 prompts a day.
Advanced costs $549 a month and includes all Pro+ features. This plan is designed for organizations and agencies that want deeper insights and automation: 40 websites, 5,000 daily keywords, SEO Share of Voice, API data integration and 200 prompts a day. Semrush API access is part of this tier.
What happened to the Semrush Pro, Guru and Business plans?
If you remember the Semrush Pro plan, the Guru plan or the Business plan, you will not find them on the current pricing page. It lists SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced, so compare plans by limits rather than by name: websites monitored, keywords tracked daily and AI prompts. Where an older Semrush review or blog post still quotes a Pro plan price, a Semrush Guru price or a Semrush Business plan price, check the figure against the pricing page.
Semrush pricing breakdown: users and add-ons
The plan price covers the plan’s own limits. These extras change the Semrush cost for a team, and they add nothing until you buy them.
| Extra | Price |
|---|---|
| Additional users | From $45 a month each |
| Lead Generation add-on | $90 a month |
| Base Report add-on | $10 a month |
| Pro Report add-on | $20 a month |
The help page says extra users start at $45 a month and scale with your plan tier. Each added user gets an individual login and shares your subscription limits, and view-only access to folders is free. Each extra seat is billed on top of the plan price, so check the seat count before you compare plans.
Lead Generation gives a branded profile on the Semrush Agency Partners platform and a verified badge for your marketing channels. The Base Report pulls Semrush data from 20 or more tools, with Google Analytics and Google Search Console integrations, scheduling and PDF export. The Pro Report adds 20 or more external integrations, delivery at a set time, branding and white-labeling, AI-generated summaries and sharing by link. The help page prices both reports per report, per month.
Is there a free Semrush plan or a trial?
Yes. The Free plan costs $0 a month and needs no credit card. According to Semrush’s pricing page, it gives you 1 demo project, 10 reports a day across all vital tools, the Help Center with basic onboarding and some AI Visibility features. It is for trying out the platform, not for running client work.
The help page lists a 7-day free trial for the SEO and AI search plans. You can cancel at any time before it ends, and if you do not, the account converts to the plan you selected at the standard rate. A few limits apply: exporting data is disabled during a trial, each trial can be used once per account, and an account that has or had a trial or paid subscription is not eligible for a free trial of the SEO Toolkit. When you enter a card, Semrush says it sends a $1 authorization to check it, which is not a charge. For the full walk-through, read our guide to the Semrush trial.
You can cancel a subscription, or upgrade or downgrade your plan, at any time unless you have custom terms and a signed agreement. Semrush has no lifetime plan and no individual student plan, but accredited colleges and universities can join the Semrush for Education program, which gives educators and students free access for 3 months. How much does Semrush cost per year?
An annual subscription means you pay for the whole year upfront, and Semrush says annual billing saves up to 17% against monthly billing. The pricing page shows a monthly rate, not a yearly total, so the table below is our arithmetic: the monthly figure times 12. Check the total at checkout before you pay.
| Plan | 12 months, paid monthly | 12 months, billed annually | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | $1,668 | $1,407.96 | $260.04 |
| Starter | $2,388 | $1,982.04 | $405.96 |
| Pro+ | $3,588 | $2,978.04 | $609.96 |
| Advanced | $6,588 | $5,468.04 | $1,119.96 |
On these figures the SEO plan’s saving works out at about 15.6%, while the other three plans show the full 17%.
Which plan fits you?
Choose by how many sites you run and how much history and AI tracking you need.
- One site or a handful of small ones: the SEO plan, or Starter if you want AI prompt tracking from day one.
- A growing business or small agency with several sites: Pro+, for 15 websites and content tools.
- An agency running many clients: Advanced, for 40 websites, Share of Voice and API data integration.
- A large organization: Enterprise, with custom limits and a dedicated account manager.
Is Semrush worth it?
As an SEO tool, Semrush is worth it for a marketer who uses keyword research, competitor analysis and site audits every week, on a plan that fits the workflow. For a site you check once a month, a paid plan is rarely worth it, and the Free plan or a shared seat is a lighter way to start. Match the plan to your websites, keywords and users rather than to the biggest number on the page.
Ways to cut the cost of Semrush
- Pay annually. Semrush says annual billing saves up to 17%, which brings Pro+ to $248.17 a month on its pricing page.
- Start on the cheapest plan that fits. You can upgrade at any time, so there is no need to buy Advanced on day one.
- Use the trial and the Free plan first. Both let you test the tools before you pay.
- Add users only when needed. Extra seats are billed monthly, from $45 each.
- Use a shared seat. DigitaVision’s Semrush group buy costs $3.99 for 30 days, on one account shared by several members and opened through the DigitaVision Chrome extension. The seat runs on a Pro+ subscription with the Trends add-on, so you can do keyword research and backlink analysis, and it opens once your payment is confirmed. Support is available every day from 8 AM to 3 AM Bangladesh time, and a shared tool that is down for more than 48 hours gets a replacement or a pro-rated refund. You give up a private workspace and the full limits of an official plan, shared daily limits apply, and Keyword SERP updates are not guaranteed. It is not an official Semrush subscription, and DigitaVision is not affiliated with Semrush.
If you manage client projects or need private history and full limits, an official plan is the better choice.
Semrush pricing: Semrush vs Ahrefs
On price, Ahrefs lists Lite at $129, Standard at $249 and Advanced at $449 a month on the same date. The plans are not like for like: Semrush limits websites and daily tracked keywords, while Ahrefs lists projects, tracked keywords and AI prompt checks, and includes one user per plan. For a feature comparison, read our Semrush and Ahrefs comparison. If neither fits, Semrush alternatives covers other options.
