Kittl AI Free Credits Deep Dive: Free AI Tokens and the Pro Plan

DigitaVision TeamTools and accounts team

8 min read

Kittl AI free credits are a one-time starter balance, not a monthly gift, on a free version of a graphic design platform. As of October 2026, the help center says the Free plan includes 200 tokens, enough for up to about 100 images, while paid plans get a balance that resets every billing cycle. More comes from a paid plan, a top-up or a campaign.

Every figure below was read on the vendor’s own pages in October 2026. Plans, costs and offers change, so confirm them inside your account first.

How the free plan balance works

Kittl offers a free plan with a one-time balance, and higher tiers add monthly and daily allowances. Each action spends part of it, depending on the feature and the model behind it (OpenAI, Flux, Stable Diffusion or Seedream).

What changed in 2025

Older posts quote the earlier unit (10 tokens each), so the 20 free ones of 2024 equal 200 today. The platform moved from daily to monthly allowances on December 1, 2024, and to the token system on August 19, 2025.

Token allocation by plan

The help page shows this allocation (as of October 2026), per editor.

Plan Included Daily allowance Refills?
Free 200, one time None No, it is a one-time balance
Pro 2,000 per month None Every billing cycle
Expert 6,000 per month 200 a day Monthly; the daily part refills every 24 hours
Max 12,000 per month 600 a day Monthly; the daily part refills every 24 hours

Monthly or one-off: which balances expire?

  • The free balance is one-time. The plan has no time limit, but the 200 is not refilled.
  • Monthly balances arrive at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
  • Purchased and campaign balances are listed as extras in Plan & Billing. Purchased amounts never expire, and campaign amounts do not expire unless the offer says so.

The vendor’s pages are not fully consistent on the free amount: the help center says 200, while a landing page says 100. Read the number in the editor interface’s bottom toolbar or under Plan & Billing in Team Settings.

What the free Kittl plan includes besides the balance

The Kittl free plan is free forever, with no trial period and limited features: 5 projects, 500MB of upload space, PNG and JPG exports up to 800px at 72dpi, and a hand-picked set of free templates, mockups, fonts and elements, so you can start by using templates from that selection. Designs are for personal use only, so commercial use needs a paid plan, and generated images are shared publicly.

What does the starter balance buy?

The AI page promises high-quality images, but cost depends on the model, the quality mode and the feature. The editor shows it before you generate, and a failed request is refunded automatically.

Image generation and video: dated examples

The February 20, 2026 product update listed these per-image costs. They are examples from that date, so check the live cost in the editor.

Model (Feb 2026 post) Cost per image Images from the free 200
ChatGPT Image 1 (was 14) 5 40
Recraft V4, standard mode 10 20
Nano Banana Pro (was 40) 30 6
Recraft V4, Pro mode 50 4

The last column is simple arithmetic, not a vendor figure. It shows why “up to about 100 images” is a best case for the cheapest models.

Video costs far more than static images. The help page says an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio can cost up to about 640 tokens, and the February update listed Kling 3.0 at 18 per second and Grok Imagine at 16 per second. On those figures the free 200 does not cover one 8-second Veo clip.

Which promotions were real?

Three examples from the vendor’s own blog show the pattern, and all three are over.

  • January 2026 daily drop. From January 1 to 31, 2026, a daily bonus was added: 50 for Free, then 200 and 300 on the first two paid tiers. It refreshed at 00:00 UTC and did not roll over.
  • Transition bonus, late 2024. When the monthly system began, subscribers on the first two paid tiers received three months of extras, which expired on June 1, 2025.
  • Seedance 2.5 offer, seen in August 2026. Extra video balance was tied to annual plans bought before August 18, and it expired seven days after subscribing.

Offers tied to a plan purchase were more common than gifts for free accounts, and every offer had an end date.

Honest ways to get more

  1. Spend less per design. Write specific AI prompts, test with images before video and pick a cheaper model. The guide to making the balance last covers each tip.
  2. Watch for real campaigns, and use an offer with an end date quickly.
  3. Upgrade the plan. Higher tiers raise the monthly balance, and the top two add a daily allowance.
  4. Buy a top-up. Any paid tier can buy extra amounts (as of October 2026, from the help page): 2,000 for $16, 8,000 for $48 and 20,000 for $110, which works out to $8, $6 and $5.50 per 1,000. Purchased amounts never expire, and older posts that say top-ups are “coming soon” are out of date.

Can a shared seat replace Kittl AI credits?

Not for image or video generation. A Kittl group buy on DigitaVision is a shared seat on one account, used through the DigitaVision extension, and it costs $4.99 on the tool page. The page describes it as access to templates, typography and mockups, and it states that generation features are not included. So a shared seat fits when you mainly need the editor, not your own balance. The fair-use limits are listed on the tool page. If generation is the point, a Kittl plan of your own, with top-ups when needed, is the straightforward route. DigitaVision is not affiliated with Kittl. If something you buy from DigitaVision does not work, you get your money back or a replacement.

Referral threads and promo codes: how to stay safe

Search results include a Reddit thread in r/referralcodes and videos promising unlimited free balances. No referral program appears on the pricing, help or Free plan pages as of October 2026, so a code in a thread has nothing behind it. Real offers appear on kittl.com and show up at checkout or on the Plan & Billing page. Nothing that asks for your password, a card for a “free” trial, or a download to “unlock” more is a vendor feature, and extra free accounts only multiply one-time balances.

Kittl pricing and the Kittl Pro plan in short

The pricing plans page lists the entry tier at $12.00 a month, Expert at $26.00 and Max at $48.00, per editor, billed annually (as of October 2026). Monthly billing costs more, so the yearly price works as a discount. Higher tiers add high-resolution and vector exports, the full library of 10,000+ premium templates and mockups, and collaboration features: Kittl Teams promises real-time collaboration and scalable workflows, and viewers are free. The vendor’s page on whether designs can be used commercially says Pro and Expert come with a commercial license for up to 500,000 copies, across packaging, marketing, digital media or print. Read the pricing page for the full breakdown.

Which option should you choose for Kittl AI free credits?

Treat the free balance as a trial of the AI tools, not a limit on your creativity:

  • Testing the editor or making personal graphics: stay on the Free plan, spend the 200 on the cheapest image model, and keep video for later.
  • Selling designs or working for clients as a designer: a paid plan is the starting point, since the Free plan is personal use only.
  • Running out mid-month, or mostly templates with little generation: a top-up or a shared seat can fit.

The short answer: the starter balance is 200, one time, on the Free plan. Everything beyond that comes from a plan, a top-up or a dated campaign.

FAQ

Does Kittl give a free AI balance every month?

No. As of October 2026, the Free plan gives a one-time balance of 200, according to the help center. Subscriptions bring monthly allowances, and the top two tiers also get a daily one. Short campaigns, such as the January 2026 drop, ended on their stated dates.

How many Kittl AI free credits does a new account get?

The Free plan page says 200, enough for up to about 100 images on the cheapest models. Some older pages say 100, so check the balance in the editor’s bottom toolbar.

Can I buy more without changing plan?

Yes, on any paid tier. The help page lists 2,000 for $16, 8,000 for $48 and 20,000 for $110 (as of October 2026). Free accounts cannot buy top-ups. Open Team Settings, then Plan & Billing, and click Get More Tokens.
